Dii Gena.Fotolenz Bio

 

In the early months of 2016, I was introduced to the world of photography on a different scale, and this eye opening epiphanic experience would lead to the creation of Dii Gena FotoLenz.

Hi, my name is Ramonne Skinner, and I am the lead photographer and founder of the Dii Gena FotoLenz Photography company.

In high school I took a photography course and it intrigued me; but the spark for capturing images of beauty did not become the burning passion it is today until I reconnected with an old friend who owned a very high end Canon camera, with a professional set of lenses and the editing program to go with it. After observing all the creative techniques and artistry she applied to her photos, I realized that this was something I would want to master and dedicate my passions to as well... because, I knew how important it was to capture fleeting moments of beauty and life, a moment that would pass if we blinked.

  The budding years of my career were fraught with many challenges, both personal and financial, but I refused to be beat and started building my portfolio. I reached out to friends, new and old in the entertainment industry, and was blessed with an array of actors, models, singers and dancers who were more than happy to oblige. Later I would branch out and develop an appetite for landscape photography as well, relishing in capturing the colors of the sky at dusk, the majesty of a bird in flight, or the sunbeams peering through ancient redwoods. However I frequently find myself revisiting my first love - portraits. There is something undeniably beautiful and rapturous about people that translates so well in photos.
